Let's start with the missing star and get that out of the way: despite having access to the whiteboard used throughout the class (thus being a visual reminder of the exercises and discussions), and despite this being still a Beta class, I felt that having the accompanying PDF that's customary in other trainings is a minus here. I really think the training would still benefit from having one, in addition to the whiteboard snapshot. The 4 star content: as a Product Owner with a keen interest in UX and Discovery practices, I found that the topics covered in the class were crucial for enabling an honest discovery with customers, stakeholders, and whatnot. Some of them I had direct experience with, some not so much, some I had only heard of and was able to put them in practice - academically, yes - in the training. The training format is appreciated, as it fosters collaboration and discussion with other peers, and makes good use of pertinent liberating structures towards that goal. Trainer Ralph Jocham demonstrated Product Ownership, Scrum, and Product Discovery knowledge, and was open to clarify any question that came up. I recommend this training to both starting Product Owners, Product Owners that have no prior experience with Discovery (capital D here), and Agile Leaders - this last mention especially since in some agile transformations, they can be a positive nudge in getting less-collaborative or even skeptical stakeholders to participate in Discovery activities.

Ralph is a very knowledgeable and patient trainer. He took his time to explain things and break them down in the PSPO training. I would still recommend checking the course out, even with no practical Product Management experience, if one's interested in the subject or field.

I am glad that Scrum is addressing this crucial aspect of empiricism, specifically product discovery. This course should be a must-offer and a must-do for any professional who takes empiricism, outcomes, and evidence-based delivery seriously. However, I find it unfortunate that this course doesn't fully integrate the topic of product discovery as an implicit part of the Scrum framework. It would have been an excellent opportunity to illustrate how every step of product discovery is integral to the events, artifacts, and commitments of Scrum. In this respect, the PSK course did a better job explicitly integrating Kanban practices with the Scrum framework. This course could have similarly enhanced our understanding of the Scrum framework through the lens of product discovery and vice versa. It is also regrettable that this course did not reference the brief slide on product discovery in the PSK course. This course could have fostered better communication with other courses and delved deeper into how a product discovery process might look from an efficient workflow perspective. Despite these points, I believe this course should move past the Beta phase. While there is room for improvement, it is already quite good. Lastly, a word about Ralf—he is one of the greatest product management trainers, and taking this course with him was truly a treat!

Ralph is a great trainer and he is what I would call an open book of knowledge as he is quite resourceful and provides valuable examples and exercises to support his teaching journey. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to talk to him live at a conference as well and grab a beer because for sure the 2 days course was just a glimpse of knowledge compared to what he has to share.

I enjoyed the class; we have discussed a lot of aspects regarding Product Ownership and its accountability regarding the product backlog management. The brainstorming with colleagues and exchanging experiences and best practices has made the training very pleasant, interesting and engaging.

I quite enjoyed this training. There was a bit of recap of certain areas of PSPOI & II, and a lot of establishing relationships with Product Backlog, Product Goal, and Transparency. Also, time for Q&A at the end of the session is very valuable, provided you bring the right questions.

I participated in the PSPO Training with Ralph Jocham, and it was one the best learning experiences I've had. The training was very interactive, fun, and the information was presented with concrete examples that allowed for an easy understanding. In preparation for the exam, I also read Ralph's book: "The Professional Product Owner: Leveraging Scrum as a Competitive Advantage", and this really helped me to solidify the information from the training and to start having the PO mindset. All in all, this was a 10/10 experience and I am very happy I choose scrum.org and Ralph. Hats off for the entire team for making this a memorable learning journey, and a special shout out to Natacha for helping with the prep process.

The content of the training is very on point and by having a practical exercise after each addressed topic, I had a chance to immediately practice and apply the new information. The trainer is clearly a very experienced individual, has shared personal experiences and examples while answering questions and was always happy to answer any questions and to encourage us to find our own new answers in order to give us a chance to evolve too.

High quality, thought-ptovoking and fun course.

The video and sound quality was perfect, the tutor provided a perfectly organized board and a suitable timeline for the class. He engaged us with the class perfectly and we worked and thought as a team. It was very exciting to work in teams on the little projects he gave us. Also, the time box of exercises was kind of making us sense the usage of time boxes in the scrum. He answered every question the attendees had very patiently and we had enough time to absorb the information, to understand and ask questions. Also, he explained everything very well and I got a lot of new information I didn't have. He also made the lessons clearer by using examples and his own experiences which I think was really brilliant. He gave us references and used good visual aids in teaching. It was one of my best online class experiences. I really appreciate Mr. Jocham's good work.

The 2-days PSPO Course led by Ralph (effectiveagile Inc) expands the agile thinking at the highest possible level underlying the benefits of Scrum.

I had a vague idea of SCRUM based on reading about and deduced from the experience as a SCRUM team member. Some simple practices in this course made the idea of SCRUM clearer.

The training was well structured and interactive, allowing participants ample time to try out all the newly acquired knowledge & ideas in break-out sessions. However, the trainer had technical issues which made it almost impossible for one to read most of his notes and understand some of his drawings. Overall, I still consider the trainer to be highly competent.

A practical-oriented class with a lot of collaboration and real examples.

I liked the professional insights. I missed some theory behind the methods.

The class was very interactive which made it easier to follow and be "present". It helped me to learn the basic scrum and product owner.

Even though we had little time we succeed to cover all the topics. It was challenging to keep up with the trainer pace but the method used from the trainer was good and the focus stayed on the scrum.

I had a pleasure of participating in the PSPO-A class in June 2022. Ralph is a great trainer. He instantly created a good, vibrant atmosphere and the group started to work in an open, friendly and productive manner. He is a skilled facilitator, able to find balance between free questions and sticking to agenda. Ralph has such a rich experience, he is full of real-life cases and practical tips and tools. He has the ability to explain things in a clear and concise way, always calm and focused, and at the same time open to difficult questions and interested in different views. The class was intense, but not exhausting, exercises were engaging and mind-broadening. Even though I am not in PO role in my everyday work (I’m a scrum master), thanks to Ralph and this course I managed to pass the assessment with 97,5% score. I sincerely recommend Ralph, his training and materials that he creates.

Professional and very helpful.

The two training days were very intense, deep and fast-paced. It was excellent. Ralph's experience is very telling. The amount of wisdom that he shares on the different angles of product management shines light into what so many companies blatantly fail to acknowledge in the role. The visual material is on point: simple to grasp, and yet requires you to pay attention. Ralph is a very kind and forgiving person. He showed compassion on tough topics and rigor to stick to the schedule when necessary, always with empathy. You might feel overwhelmed if you do not have enough experience in product or as Scrum Master. I would advise this training for aspiring product people or SM's with 2+ years of experience but don't let that deter you from your resolve. If there was one thing I'd suggest in the future, it would be to allocate just a bit more time for deeper conversations in certain topics. Maybe this was my initial response due to not knowing anybody and ideas not flowing as smooth, but I did feel cut short in the beginning. The next day was much smoother as everybody knew each other more, it was great. In summary: we ended up learning a lot more than mere fundamentals of the different angles of product management. Nonetheless, the group's aspiration to read up on several books and other materials led us to believe the training was as incredible gate for further progress.

Ralph clearly knows what he is talking about There was a lot of material to cover, and I think Ralph did this in a well structured way, with a very deep knowledge of the role of a PO and Scrum in general. Especially liked he could give us examples of when he worked as a programmer. Minus one star because I felt a bit restricted in the breakout rooms with my team, I would have loved for some sessions where everybody in the training session could speak, so we could learn form other people in our own company. So in short, some exercises where everybody participates

Thanks to Ralph and his huge experience, the class was the perfect preparation for the exam. What we discussed was informative, relevant in the daily business and helpful for the final certification.

PSPO Class hosted by Ralph Jocham, he clearly explained the scrum theory and the role of the Product Owner in it. The training was virtual and that is something that I personally do not like, but in this case there was good use of the break out rooms in teams. This gave some interaction which is always useful.

Ralph Jocham is great teacher. He made learning interesting in both theory and practical part of course. I learned a lot things about Scrum that I didn't know before and this course made me pay attention to some points of Scrum I didn't notice so far in my career.

I consider the training as being very well structured, offering the right amount of information at the right pace. I appreciate the fact that Ralph did not focus only on the PO but he offers insights on other matters related to SCRUM. For me it was a very useful training that I highly recommend.

Almost always work in some capacity in a scrum team and always feeling frustrated with the management, I find that this course definitely covers the essentials of what an Agile leader needs. All too often, one always hear the top brass says lets do Agile, but the environment never changes to support the team.

I enjoyed the interactions during this class, a lot of exercises in order to learn and apply the Scrum guide in real life scenarios. I recommended this course for all who want to learn more about how Scrum is helping complex projects and complex situations.

Took the PSM-1 Training from Ralph. Being a Scrum Master I can vouch for the trainer and the content which was taught to me. The whole training was really effective and I still love it when Ralph answered every generic question using real-life examples. I would totally recommend Agile Actors for Scrum training.

I liked that we were divided into small groups where everyone had ability to speak up. Ralph described all the basics in a clear way and gave us a lot of guidance what to read next and how to improve further. I hope I know have all the needed knowledge for passing the exam. Only the time will show.

The offered materials made up a good basis for building one's knowledge upon the whys and wherefores of the Product Owner. Overall, time management was an issue given the breadth of the topics and some items could have been addressed at a deeper level. The remote class was done through a collaboration-enabled tool that has offered great interaction. Our trainer and facilitator Ralph is extremely knowledgeable about empiricism, iterative and incremental product development. I was expecting more exercises directly connected to the PSPO 1 exam. The reading of two books "The Professional Product Owner" and "Essential Scrum" helped me in my exam preparation.

The had a broad knowledge and could grant us an easy access to the "world of scrum". Because of his long dev career he was able to share a lot from his great experience pool. Unfortunately this course was online-only (due to covid) and therefore a lot of practical exercises were quite difficult to manage, but in the end the outcome was still great.

I have really appreciated the entire training and especially: - exhaustive introduction of the fundamentals - exercises in small team - room for questions - Answers supported by referenced documentation - The training support and tools utilized - Rythme of the training and the diversity of workshops I invite you to consider - having less examples around Software dev and more for other fields as well - would it be added value to run a small sprint and practically utilize the various technics, I understand this is what we more or less did for the "car" but we did not went so much throught Sprint review / retrospective

There are very few trainers where you feel that you can ask ANY question and he will AT ALL TIMES be able to answer it with the highest professionalism and integrity. I truly enjoyed this class and may only recommend it to anybody interested in Scrum.

Very scientific approach to scrum by a competent tutor. The practical part consisted sometimes of creating thing and afterwards learning what is important while creating these things, which is not always the optimal choice of order, especially if you need the created items for other practical tasks and have no time to refine them. I learned a lot. Thanks

It was an extremely useful and pleasant class. The trainer has a lot of practical knowlege and was able to transfer it clearly and effectively. The pace of the class was just right: not too slow that would cause distraction, not too fast that would make it difficult to absorb the content. There was a right balance of theory and practice, of listening and interacting that made all the information easy to understand, process and apply in the practical parts. All in all, an excellent class.

I really liked Ralph's training and Ralph's personality. Well prepared (Mural is great), good activities, well explained. I could see Ralph has loads of experience and knows what he is talking about. I could see Ralph has experience as trainer, he brought several non-formal activities to the workshop. I liked he let the teams try first and explain later. The only suggestions I would do is to ask for people's expectations in the beginning, also explain there are no right or wrong answers, and to explain whats the objetive of the workshop. I had the feeling some participants had different expectations and got frustrated in the end. Thanks again!
