Clarification on a point about scrum master
In the official guide its written as
The scrum master helps those outside the scrum team understand which of their interactions with the scrum team are helpful and which arent. The scrum master helps everyone change these interactions to maximize the value created by the scrum team.
Can anyone help me interpret this sentence.
According to my interpretation, scrum team comprises of product owner, development team and scrum master themselves. So, the SM helps those outside the scrum team means SM helps the key stakeholders who are in sprint review meeting whether their meeting was productive or not, If it isnt productive then SM will make everybody in the sprint review meeting interact in such a way that the value or the potential increment created by the development team is maximized.
This introspection can be done as part of sprint retrospective meeting, isn't it? so that the team can adapt itself.
Thanks

Scrum does not forbid collaboration between team members and non-team members. This collaboration may happen throughout a Sprint, and is not constrained to a Sprint Review. For example, a Product Owner may arrange for the stakeholders he or she represents to liaise with the team directly, so that any information exchanged is as accurate and timely as possible.
The responsibility of a Scrum Master in this regard is to encourage helpful collaborative behaviors, and to discourage unhelpful ones. So for example, if non-team members liaise productively with the team whilst also respecting the PO as the sole arbiter of value, that would be a positive behavior. On the other hand if non-team members interrupted the team with demands for work unrelated to the Sprint Goal, then that would be an example of unhelpful behavior which the Scrum Master would need to challenge.
