Sprint Planning Inputs
Hi There,
I have a question about the inputs related to sprint planning. According to the scrum guide, there are 4 inputs for this event: Product Backlog, the latest product Increment, projected capacity of the Development Team during the Sprint, and past performance of the Development Team.
However I have read from some links and tutorials on internet, and even on the official class from scrum.org that there are 2 more others items composing the inputs, beyond the 4 listed above: The Definition of Done and Restrospective Commitments.
I will be very thankful if someone could explain what is the correct and official approach.
According to the scrum guide, there are 4 inputs for this event: Product Backlog, the latest product Increment, projected capacity of the Development Team during the Sprint, and past performance of the Development Team.
You're reading the part of the Guide which covers Topic 1 of Sprint Planning.
Topic 2 addresses the crafting of a Sprint Backlog, for which both "Done" and Retrospective actions ought to constitute inputs.
I think this is just a consideration in sprint planning, there is no need to require complete input
