Am I ready for the PAL assessment?
I took the PAL 1 assessment in November and failed with a 79.8% score. My company will reimburse me for the assessment that I pass.
Question is: I have been taking the Open Scrum Assessment and the Open PAL Assessment and usually getting scores between 96% and 100%. Do you think I am ready? I have also read all of the recommended material for the PAL.
I feel like I have mastered the gist of the material this time and the Open Assessments are reflective of that. What do you think?

You have clear evidence that you are not yet 100% ready. Is there any reason to take the assessment while that remains the case?
+1 on Ian. Try to do the open assessments 3 times consequetively and score 100%. On both of them. That would be a relatively okay indicator that you're okay to go. In my personal experience I found that open assessment quite a bit easier than the actual exam (of course). Good luck on the exam in advance, I hope you pass!

You should definitely read more, the open assessment is not enough. After the open assessment ends, try and read the reason each answer is right/wrong below the answer. You should try and get into agile leader's shoes, what should they do/not do, how should they act when things are not going well etc.

Like you, I failed my first attempt. I think I got an 80% shortly after the test came out. I didn't try it again until earlier this year.
This isn't a memorization exam as much as other exams. I think you could bomb the open assessments and pass this test (or pass the open assessments and fail this test). That being said, you may have to change how you think about things and fit more into how the creators of the exam are trying to get people to think. You have to answer things from the Scrum perspective.

I would read the Scrum Guide a couple of times.
Then you have to get yourself used to the sort of Scrum thinking as I call it. I disagree with some things in Scrum so I believe that is harder for me.
