Scrum Master is NOT responsible for
Scrum Master serves the Product Owner, the Development Team and the Organization in various ways. There are various responsibilities of the Scrum Master that he should effectively plan & execute. Scrum Master should make judicious decision that he/she is NOT performing the tasks that he/she is not supposed to do.
Some of such tasks are:
1. Organize the work of the Development Team instead of allowing the Development Team to self-organize.
2. Trying to provide solutions for every problem that is raised by the Development Team.
3. Resolving a similar impediment which had occurred in past and Development team is aware how to handle this impediment. 4. Make decisions on behalf of the Development team.
5. Leading the Daily Scrum.
6. Managing the Development team.
A Scrum Master will be considered successful is he/she helps in building the Development Team's ability to resolve problems on their own. Scrum Master should allow the Development Team to learn by their mistake. This will make an effective Development Team who is self-organizing, cross-functional and accountable.
