Hello community,

I would like to get a (practical) book on how to use Systems thinking as a Scrum Master and / or organizational Change Agent.

Any reference you have in mind?

Three things to consider:

  1. When would a Scrum Master or change agent not use systems thinking in their work?
  2. Perhaps the book you are looking for has not been written yet.
  3. There are diminishing returns to be had on investments in organizational complexity, a decline which can sometimes be mitigated by innovation. I have found "The Collapse of Complex Societies" by Joseph Tainter (New Studies in Archaeology, Cambridge University Press) to be indispensable.

Hi Jean-Michel, Hoverstadt and Reynolds' book Systems Approaches to Managing Change: A Practical Guide (2010) is a great intro to systems thinking with practical, actionable frameworks and techniques for change agents. Not written for agile orgs or roles specifically but I am sure you'll find it useful
