Where to add tasks which cannot be linked to a sprint backlog item

Where do you add tasks which cannot be linked to a specific backlog item which is in scope of the sprint. I mean tasks like demo preperation, create release with configuration files, regression test etc.

Why not just plan them into the Sprint Backlog as part of the forecast of work? There’s no reason to assume a Sprint Backlog must be decomposed hierarchically into items and constituent tasks.

Are you using a tool of some kind, and its design characteristics are shaping your thinking?
