PSM for non-software work
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone can share some experience or thoughts about about a PSM designation for non-software work. I'm working for a government organization for marketing projects. I think scrum, although it was developed based on the software industry, can be applied to non-software projects.
Do you think having a PSM designation is useful in non-software companies/ industries? Or is it just a waste of money?
Thanks!
There isn't single word about software in Scrum Guide. Yes, I know scrum can be applied to any complex product developemnt
The home page of Scrum.org says "Improving the Profession of Software Development". I believe the Scrum guide was developed keeping in mind the software development only.
BTW your goal should be Be Agile, Scrum is just one of the ways, please explore other Agile options that suits your profession.
