Cancellation of a Sprint

Scrum Says "A Sprint consists of four formal events and development work".
If a Sprint is cancelled at halfway by product owner, will Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective be conducted ??
I think it should be if some items of work are "DONE" and PO accepts them.

Please guide for better understanding.

Do you think a canceled Sprint represents an inspect-and-adapt opportunity, regardless of the amount of work that can be delivered? How likely is it that there will be lessons regarding either product development and/or the process being followed?

Scrum Says if part of work to be doe is releasable then PO would accept it. so should that portion of work be demonstrated in Sprint Review? Also in one of thread i read "Definition of Done" is adopted and revisited during Sprint Retrospective Event". can't be there any scenario when Scrum team find some stringent criteria to add in "DOD" after reviewing this DONE part of work?

I might be on wrong track as i haven't experienced phenomenon of Sprint Cancellation. A little more explanation will help.

One more question is " when should we define/refine the underline concept of "DOD" ?
