Hello,

I am prepping for SM cert. and getting started with burndowns. What do you make of the one below?

Assumptions/ scenarios based on my current knowledge:

- The team is doing fine, they have been working on bigger tasks and waiting for QA - day 9 & 10; (unit & integration?)

- The team is having some impediments blocking their progress - defect, dependency; dropping 12 tasks on day 9, testing and delivering before the x-mas party

Analysis and recommendations appreciated.

Thankful for all your feedback.

First, you post has nothing for us to look at for analysis.

Second, burn-down charts are not mentioned anywhere in the Scrum Guide.  So if you are encountering questions about burn-down chart analysis in your prep material, I'd start questioning the validity of that material.

While a large population uses burn-down charts, it is going to be difficult for anyone to give you feedback without more information provided.

Can there really be a burndown of work at all, if nothing is Done and completed until Day 10 at the earliest? If so, what is that burndown showing?
