2017 PSM1 or 2020 PSM1?
Hello all,
I am trying to decide if I should take the 2017 exam before it is replaced by the 2020 one on 10th January, or if I should wait for the availability of the 2020 exam and take that instead?
What are the benefits of being PSM1 2020 certified apart from the obvious one, being certified against the 2020 Scrum Guide, especially when there only seems to be a small number of changes between these two versions?
Thanks in advance, Scott.

Why do you think Scrum.org accreditations relate to specific Scrum Guide versions?

Due to the banner at the top of this site: "On November 18th, a new version of the Scrum Guide was made available. All Assessments and Classes will be based on the previous version (2017) through January 9th 2021."
Hi Scott,
To be honest, almost nothing has changed between these 2 versions. Scrum us still Scrum with some little updates and clarifications

So does this mean that companies will not be preferring candidates to be certified against the 2020 edition then?

Thanks Ian, that has answered my question. If I find that I am ready to take the exam before January 10th I will do so, otherwise, I will take it later after ensuring that I have adjusted my study materials so that they reflect the SG 2020 changes.
