Professional Scrum Product Owner - Advanced

The Professional Scrum Product Owner - Advanced (PSPO-A) is a 2-day course designed to help experienced Product Owners expand their knowledge and abilities in establishing a vision, validating hypotheses, and delivering value to stakeholders. The course is interactive and experiential, with exercises and discussions to enhance learning. Attendees should have at least one year of Product Owner experience and practical knowledge of Scrum to participate in and benefit from this course.

The Product Owner’s role is multifaceted, requiring the practitioner to engage in behaviors and adopt mindsets beyond the basics of the Scrum Framework. This course promotes these behaviors and provokes a mindset shift by presenting several different Product Owner stances:

• Customer Representative - laser focus on the customer
• Visionary - big picture thinking
• Experimenter - empirically driven
• Influencer - effective stakeholder and customer management
• Collaborator - working well with others
• Decision Maker - focused, data-driven, and decisive

TARGET AUDIENCE

The Professional Scrum Product Owner-Advanced (PSPO-A) course is intended for experienced Product Owners and product managers who have practical experience managing or owning a product. Scrum Masters and stakeholders who work with Product Owners can also benefit from this course. It is especially helpful for those with at least one year of experience building products with a Scrum Team.

CERTIFICATION

All participants completing the Professional Scrum Product Owner - Advanced course receive a password to take the PSPO II assessment and are entitled to a discount on the PSPO III assessment. Those who attempt the PSPO II assessment within 14 days of the class and do not score at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost.
