DORA (DevOps Research and Assessment) has recently published its latest report for 2024. This is the tenth report of DORA.
More than 39,000 respondents participated in the survey. There are plenty of interesting insights in the report. Specifically, the impact of AI on the software development industry.
As an example finding: The most common uses for AI in software development work are:
- Writing code
- Summarizing information
Many respondents said: “If you don’t use AI, you will be left behind quite soon.”
Estimates suggest that leading tech giants will invest approximately $1 trillion in the development of AI in the next five years. It is a serious opportunity.
One of the takeaways of the report says: Be relentlessly user-centric.
