Professional Scrum Master - Advanced

Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) is an advanced course that helps students to understand the stances of an effective Scrum Master while diving deep into how they serve the Developers, Product Owner and organization.

Students learn about practices and skills that enable them have the right conversations and how to apply them to become better Scrum Masters.

It is specifically designed for experienced Scrum Masters who have a thorough understanding of the Scrum Framework, with at least one year of experience looking to grow their knowledge and abilities as a Scrum Master.

Who should attend?

The Professional Scrum Master II course is for;

• Experienced Scrum Masters who have a thorough understanding of the Scrum Framework

• How the Scrum principles and values help guide Scrum Masters in the decisions they make

• What practices, tools, skills and stances make an effective Scrum Master

• How the Scrum Master acts as a servant-leader and improve their ability in this role

• What the Scrum Master can do to support Development Teams and Product Owners to become more effective

• Ways that the Scrum Master can help to change the environment making it more conducive for Scrum Teams to be successful with greater agility

• Provide tips and techniques for the Scrum Master to work with the rest of the organization in support of their Scrum Teams

• Improve impact of a successful Scrum Master on the organization

• How to deal with different types of Team conflicts

• Removing impediments

Assessments & Certification

All participants completing the Professional Scrum Master II course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) assessment. PSM II class participants who attempt the PSM II assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost.

About The Trainer

Sam is a dynamic agile practitioner, Scrum Master, Agile Coach and Professional Scrum Trainer. Sam's first encounter with Scrum was in 2007 and over the years he has accumulated a lot of experience supporting organisation to deliver value to their customers using the Scrum Framework.

Previous clients include Large Organizations such Barclays, HSBC, Ministry of Justice, TUI, UBS, Channel4, BBC Worldwide and a large number of start-ups around the world.

When not training, Sam works as an Enterprise Agile Coach where he supports organizations in scaling their implementation of Agile Frameworks (e.g Scrum, Kanban) up to the Executive level of the organization.Agile Frameworks including the complimentary practices and tools are great but Sam's ultimate goal is to support the organizations on building the mindset that is required for Agility to thrive.
