Professional Product Discovery and Validation
Live Virtual Class, May 12, 2025
Class Overview
This event takes place online
This live virtual PPDV class runs 12 May 2025, 09:00-17.00 BST.
Professional Product Discovery and Validation (PPDV) offers a hands-on learning experience to participants, enabling them to enhance value creation by applying discovery and validation skills in product development.
Experimenting with new ideas and collecting evidence on those experiments is more important than ever in today’s ever-changing business environments. Learning from potential or current users is essential to delivering the right product capabilities to market which is why this course teaches the essential techniques needed to drive targeted learning while collecting evidence to validate or invalidate potential capabilities.
Students work hands-on with a case study and apply techniques throughout the class. It is designed to enable product teams to better incorporate discovery and validation into their product development and delivery processes for an end-to-end evidence based approach to product development.
This course is appropriate for anyone working as part of a Product Team including Product Owners, product managers, product leaders, business analysts and developers, who are looking for practical ways to increase user value created, make data-informed decisions, and better investments.
This course focuses on discovery and validation. It does not have a lot of consideration for discovery and validation in a Scrum context. For discovery and validation in a Scrum context, see the Professional Scrum with User Experience (PSU) class instead.

It uses end-to-end encryption and delegates can only access the conference via an admin controlled waiting room. Activities are carried out with Mural. No software is required to be pre-installed for these tools, though you may need to check that there are no security policies that block the use of these tools if you are joining us through a corporate network. We ask you to try to ensure a steady internet connection (for example by connecting through cable rather than with WiFi).

All participants completing the Professional Product Discovery and Validation course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Product Discovery and Validation (PPDV) assessment.
