In a recent thread at LinkedIn, Shanly Suepaul suggested I discuss this question: "Do you think it's necessary to start every Sprint with each story fully specified?"
A few patterns (anti-patterns) lead to a phenomenon where teams are unwilling to start working on a Product Backlog Item until it is “fully specified”.
In this video, I share a few patterns that lead to this phenomenon.
Specifically:
00:48 Analysis Paralysis & The Waterfall
02:31 The Blame Game and Waiting for "Perfect Information"
05:20 Definitions of "Ready"
And for each of these anti-patterns, I offer a remedy.
Enjoy!
