Completed the PSM 1 Assessment
Dear friends,
I had completed the PSM1 earlier this month. Sharing my mode of preparation
a. Scrum Guide- Read through the guide again and again - Latest version 2016
b. scrum-narrative-and-psm-exam-guide by Mohammed Mustafa Soukath Ali
About the Exam:
Though the exam allows us to book mark the questions, I had a paper and pen to write down the questions which I was unsure about. That helped me in knowing how much questions are added in unsure bucket. It also helps to complete the known questions soon so that adequate time could be spent on the doubtful ones.
A few questions appear from the Scrum Open Assessment and a very few directly from Scrum Guide. Others you have apply the thought of Agile Concepts and Scrum to choose the right one.
Was lucky with 85% which made me realize that my preparation was just sufficient. Need to go through the Scrum Guide again and understand more to get myself ready for PSM II
All the Best to you.
Hi!
Thanks for sharing!
I also just completed the assessment; my prearation was:
- Reading the scrum guide several times to ensure that I understood the concepts and responsibilities for each role well
- Taking the Open assessment several times
- Taking the PO open assessment a couple of times
- Googling scrum in general
The bookmarking on the exam helped me a lot. I usually answered the question even if I was unsure but bookmarked it to look at it later. Having scrum values and the agile manifesto at the forefront of your mind helps...
Good luck to all who are preparing to write this exam!
