PSM II Certificate Requirements

Is there any requirement for PSM II certification that you must have worked as a Scrum Master for, say, n number of years before you will be granted certificate?

Or is it just that having real world experience helps you pass the test?

Hello Salman,

Thank you for your interest in Scrum.org and congratulations on recently achieving PSM I certification! With regards to pre-requisites for attempting the PSM II assessment for certification, no we do not require individuals to have worked as a Scrum Master for a specific number of years. Holding to the spirit and value of inspection and adaptation, our stance is not to deny interested individuals from an opportunity to self-assess. However, we strongly recommend that individuals do have some experience as a Scrum Master, as the PSM II assessment challenges individuals to apply their knowledge of Scrum to complex, real-world situations. As such, having actual Scrum Master experience, or at least exposure, should prove helpful when attempting the PSM II assessment.

@Salman,

As I know all of the scrum.org certifications are like that only. Neither Education/Training Nor experience required.
If money is not a problem, you can attempt all level 1s followed by 2s and then 3s.
Experience definitely helps but only when your experience is in line with 'scrum guide/ nexus guide'.
