Hi,

Most of the Nexus related documentation talks of 50+ practices that could be implemented. I was wondering if there is any place other than workshops to learn about those practices.

Thanks

Hello Manish,

I found a previous thread relating to this topic here: https://www.scrum.org/Forums/aft/1890#10041

Hopefully it helps some :)

Thanks Lord,

In the above mentioned thread ,Ian Mitchell's response does give an indication of practices that might have been referred in workshops but its too little to get something concrete out of it..

In nutshell, it seems like if one wants to learn and get to look at documentation then workshop is the only place.

Are there any plans to make available the practices by any other means ( books etc...). May be someone from Scrum team can respond to this.

Thanks
Manish

Hello Manish,

The best place to learn about all of the practices and how to apply them of course is the class, but we are also working on white papers for each of the practices. Some are already available on the Resources section of the website and there are many more to come.

@Manish

There are 47 practices and as of now more than half of them are kept as secret to be part of the SPS class only. If you are taking the class then it is OK to learn about them as a few of them would surely help a bit in implementing Nexus which is rarely adopted in Indian Region (I am guessing you are from Indian region) due to a number of reasons despite it is one of the better scaling frameworks freely available.

Thanks Eric for your response . I look forward to best practices white papers.

Thanks T, lack of information about practices does points towards secrecy aspect and if its true then may be its a deliberate attempt to use Nexus framework and practices in a controlled environment to fine tune certain aspects. But yes, from a learner's perspective it does act as a demotivating factor.

This link lists 40+ SPS practices, most of which have links to articles:-  https://www.scrum.org/scaled-professional-scrum-nexus-practices
