Why isn't PSFS open to the public yet?

I bet that Scrum.org is testing and improving this offer before they gain enough confidence in their materials and exams to be a trusting body for certificates acquired by self-learners. That is a similar approach I can recall from PSU and PSK certifications. And to be perfectly honest - PSFS is open to the public, but only via paid training. This is quite an effective way to get on board mostly early adopters that are usually more open to sharing quality feedback on how the product can be even better, with a high level of acceptance for imperfections, so that they are not too biased to point only what was terrible and how their money was wasted. 😉



Sonner or later it will be available as the rest, at least if Scrum.org remains to be true to its strategy of not forcing ppl to take paid accredited training.

The PSFS class is open to the public.  You can find many classes already listed on https://www.scrum.org/classes?type[]=292

As for the Professional Scrum Facilitation Skills certification, like Piotr Górajek notes, in the spirit of inspecting and adapting, we are only making the certification assessment available to students of the class initially.  This will help us to learn more about the assessment, make adjustments, add more learning resources and improve it prior to making it more broadly available.  

Very interested in attending one of the inaugural courses! The approach that Piotr and Eric outlined is tried and true - get the early adopters like myself into the course and gather feedback before it being widely available. BRB - seeing which course I can enroll in :)
