Hi,

Can you please let me know if anyone has cleared PSM1 without classroom training ?
What would be the best materials to clear the exam without training ?

I did. I went over the Scrum Guide in detail.

I was told the Scrum forums also help. But I didn't look into it.

Many people have passed PSM 1 without training, including me. (but that was years ago, too... but I'm also sure many have passed recently without training).

Here are some tips for doing just that:

I just did...with 95%. I read the scrum guide thoroughly, took a couple udemy courses (recommend one by Vladimir Raykov), did several open assessments, one on Mlapshin's blog, read the nexus guide. The actual questions are tougher than any of the assessments. You really need to understand and apply the content.

[1] The answer is yes. But it require a quite some to to prepare with commitment and practice in the work environment (following agile and scrum for SDLC). But it is better to go for a training from Scrum.org authorized trainer. So that you clarity your doubts and you can also learn quicker.

[2] The exam is 80 questions in 60 minutes and passing score is 85%. Where Scrum.org kept a very high standard. We get less then 1 minute for each question to read and answer.

[3] Materials to read:

https://www.scrum.org/resources/scrum-guide

https://www.scrum.org/resources/evidence-based-management

[4] Open Assessment from Scrum.org

https://www.scrum.org/open-assessments/product-owner-open

https://www.scrum.org/open-assessments/nexus-open

[5] Others:

https://www.volkerdon.com/courses/psm1

https://www.udemy.com/ [Search for Scrum related certifications]

https://mlapshin.com/index.php/scrum-quizzes/

etc.

[6] Good to read books (But not mandatory)

Agile Product Management with Scrum: Creating Products That Customers Love - by Roman Pichler

Scrum - A Pocket Guide - Book by Gunther Verheyen

97 Things Every Scrum Practitioner Should Know: Collective Wisdom from the Experts - Book by Gunther Verheyen

The Professional Product Owner: Leveraging Scrum as a Competitive Advantage - by Don McGreal  (Author), Ralph Jocham  (Author)

etc.

Thanks.
