The updated Kanban Guide for Scrum Team was released
The last version was released in April 2018.
This new one is from September 2019.
Does anyone know where to find a changelog comparing both?
Blogs describing the changes are coming soon. That is why this was a soft release which will be more formally announced soon.
Here is an overview on what’s new - September 2019
This revision aims to improve the clarity and organization of the Scrum with Kanban Guide. Several concepts have been refined and a few topics previously covered in addendums and additional materials have been brought into the guide itself. Specific changes include the following:
-
A revamped theory section to make clearer connections between flow and empiricism and to introduce flow metrics and Little’s Law.
-
A clean-up of the definition of workflow section that moved some examples into the Kanban practices themselves.
-
Some of the policies are now more general to reduce the level of prescription and focus more on the principles.
-
The scope of visualization and accountability around defining the definition of “Workflow" have been revamped.
-
The addition of a section about how the increment is affected by the flow.
-
SLE is now part of the active management of workflow section.
