Hi all, 

I have just finished a second attempt at the PSM1 and failed with 80%



This is the first exam I have had to do since school over 13 years ago. Does anyone have any advice on which book is good for understanding cross team functionality and also how you handle the pressure of an exam? I find myself trying to race against the clock and making silly mistakes purely because of this. 

Ask me the questions before the exam and I am fine, during :( 

Also, does anyone know if you can get discounts on further retakes?

Do the open assesements over and over to get used to pressure of time.

Search through this forum for tips, there are literally hundreds of posts with tips. 

One thing you should pay attention to when doing the open assessments, pay close to attention to the wording of the questions and pay even closer attention to knowing the WRONG answers. If you only pay attention to the correct answers, you will get an answer choice that is almost the correct answer and it's likely to throw a curve ball your way and you miss it because it's close to the correct answer.

For time pressure, prior to taking the exam, I recommend writing out a numbered list from 1-80 that includes A-E for each question number.  When taking the assessment, cross off incorrect answers.  This will save you several minutes of re-reading when double-checking your work.

If you have a question that you do not know, bookmark it right away and return to it later.  Work through those that you know and then come back to the difficult ones.
