Scrum Artifacts - etymology
Why in Scrum Artifacts are called Artifacts exactly?
The term "artifact" has been used in software development since the very early days. And since the first Scrum Teams were software development teams, the term may have been borrowed there. But it entered the software engineering community from the English language, where it dates back to at least the 1600s to refer to an object that shows human workmanship or an object that isn't a naturally-occurring object.
