Scrum in Non-IT organizations
Recently I've been hearing a lot about the use of Scrum in non-IT organizations. What does this community feel about that? Is SCRUM for IT organizations only, or is there a developing body of knowledge around the use of SCRUM in IT organizations?
The last line should read: "or is there a developing body of knowledge around the use of SCRUM in NON-IT organizations?"
Hello Michael,
Scrum is usually adopted in teams inside IT departments or orgs but the framework as the Scrum guides says is not just for that:
A framework within which people can address complex adaptive problems, while productively and creatively delivering products of the highest possible value.
In fact, if you have a look at the Scrum guide you won't be able to find a reference to the word software. Because Scrum is a framework to build products, and not only IT orgs create products.
