"Work planned for the first days of the Sprint by the Development Team is decomposed by the end of this meeting, often to units of one day or less."

I am not able to understand the meaning of this sentence. I would appreciate anyone who can help by giving an example. Any domain example would be useful.

P.S. Planning for PSM1 certification.

Try not to overthink this.

It is reasonable to expect the Development Team, as part of their assessment during Sprint Planning, to identify some of the "sub-tasks" that may be needed in order to have an item meet the Definition of Done.

Such a practice to document anticipated effort and complexity will also help the Development Team determine whether they can comfortably complete the item in the upcoming sprint.

Okay! So some of the sub-tasks are prioritized to gain some level of confidence within the development teams to achieve DoD.

Thank you for your help.
