Good morning dears

Can we use Business process diagrams with SCRUM during requirements gathering?

Best wishes

What would make you think otherwise? Scrum is a framework that makes no prescriptions as to what tools or methods you can use in your development efforts. You should always use the tools, practices and methods which are best suited to your needs. If, in your case, there is value in using such diagrams, then use them. If not, don't.

The important part is to not try to gather all the requirements upfront. Requirements are the results of frequent inspection of the product increment, the marketplace and the Product Backlog. As such, new requirements can and will emerge at any point in time.

Thanks Julian Bayer

That’s right; the important part is to not try to gather all the requirements upfront

BUT, I want to use Business Process Diagram at the start of each sprint in order to help me to get the workflow of the business process of that sprint, and then get all of the user stories by tracing the diagram and get each user story

In traditional approach, I used BPD to get the use case, now I think it will be very good to get user story

Do you agree?
