I'm interested in learning SCRUM for career advancement. I do not know where I should start; I appreciate any suggestions or advice.

Thanks in advance.

What about reading https://www.scrumguides.org/ ?

I am just entering the SCRUM world and learning every single thing that I can about it.  Going for SCRUM Master Certification classes in 2 weeks.  Also learning all that I can about AGILE.  Would like to know if there are folks in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.

Yes, that would be great! Thank you, Ella Collier.

Also, I'm not being snarky here, but it is Scrum, not SCRUM.  Making it all caps suggests it is an acronym.

To complete and Become a Scrum Master in Agile process, Is it better to take class room training or web based training??

I am new for this so need advise

Class room training, if done right, should provide you with a much better learning experience.  Not only will a good instructor help you, you will learn from other students in the course.

When you listen to a lecture you are likely to retain only 10%.  When you have a chance to learn and teach it back to other students in the class, you will retain much more information.

If you take a Scrum.org PSM course, the materials and course were created by Ken Schwaber, the creator of Scrum, and inspected and adapted by the Professional Scrum Trainers.

Let me know if you want to have a conversation.

I think it's helpful to understand in what way you want to advance your career. Do you see yourself fulfilling one of the roles on a Scrum Team (Product Owner, Scrum Master, Developer)?

Do you have an existing function that you think may be made obsolete by Scrum, and are you therefore looking to find a new role for yourself?

Do you see yourself working with Scrum Teams, but not necessarily as part of them? e.g. management or in any other traditional role in a company that also practices Scrum.
