I have about 12years Management Experience in Call center Operations(been on some project teams too) Got my lean 6sigma cert last year.

Of recent,i realised managing people especially in a Call center environment was not giving me joy anymore- Thus the process of reinventing myself and learning new things began.Wife is a BA, and i over years have heard her talk about scrum, dev, sprints etc was clueless about the full spectrum until over a week ago, when i decided it was time to learn.

First site i landed on was scrumstudy- downloaded their SBOK and started reading actually earned their SFC cert. before further research brought me to .org and alliance...... consequently the scrum guide, boy did i have to unlearn the materials i thought was scrum via study.com

Anyways, was a reader on this forum digested the path everyone who shared said took them towards certification....below is mine

Started reading Scrum Guide on Monday took loads of notes, visualised how each events, roles, rules and artifacts intertwine- tried putting myself in each role and assumed the logic that the Scrum Guidelines states about each role-This process accelerated my learning curve greatly-Thus i only had to read the guide about 3 times fully and consulted different sections at different times during my open assessments

http://mlapshin.com/index.php/scrum-quizzes/psm-learning-mode/   was extremely helpful did all its assessment and was able to also use its questions as a guide to learn - This was all i used up until last night when i wanted to take the exam as i was so confident in my knowledge of the guide.

Something kept gnawing at me to also try https://www.volkerdon.com/ and it cost only $10....decided to take their free assessment of 40 questions, barely scored 85% bought the package there and then and took all tests about 4 times each plus the mock exam

Sat for my Exam today and scored 92.5%.i am excited and at the sametime humbled by it as missing 6 questions is a big deal for, so back to my scrum guide like a bible and i would keep reading and finding new interpretations to it.

I know the best way to learn is not just in theory,so if anyone knows any company looking to hire and entry level scrum practitioner look me up(am in phoenix)funny i may actually also be open to working on a volunteer basis till i get this experience.

OK enough rambling .. my steps

read Scrum Guide 4times, took direct notes to meditate on

took open assessments more than 15times both PSM and PSPO till i was scoring 100 consistently

http://mlapshin.com/index.php/scrum-quizzes/psm-learning-mode/   and the real mode about 10times till i was scoring 100 consistently

https://www.volkerdon.com/  took all available assessments here about thrice each till i was scoring between 90 and 100

Took my Exam today and scored 92.5%

I hope this helps someone too

Ariyo thanks a lot for your text. Just for information: approximately how much time did you spend from  beginning till the passing the exam? Just some days?

Congratulations Ariyo. Would it be possible for you to share the  https://www.volkerdon.com/  creds. have had multiple failed payment attempts while purchasing the same.

Alfredo, I am not Ariyo but if you are not oppose )) I will provide my answer.

So, to pass PSM I spent in general 2 weeks. Approximately 1,5-2 hours of each day, exclude weekends. But of course it depends on how you are preparing. Good luck anyway
