This training is an advanced Product Owner course, the perfect PSPO followup. Ideal for Product Owners who want to reflect on their role and deepen their Scrum knowledge. The training is also excellent for Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches, Chapter Leads and Managers who wish to support Product Owners in their professional growth. This is an Expert level course, which means there are recommendations for participation*:
- You have studied the Scrum Guide and have a solid understanding of Scrum
- You have at least one year of experience as a Product Owner
- You are part of a Scrum Team and/or have completed a Product Owner training
We recommend the above to ensure the training meets your needs at this part of your journey. To offer you the best experience, we also want participants’ prior knowledge to match. The PSPO I certificate is not required for participation, but we do advise you join the PSPO I first.

Robbin Schuurman developed the Six Stances of the Product Owner together with Chris Lukassen, a validated concept that now forms the foundation of Professional Scrum Product Owner - Advanced. This training is not just another Product Owner training; it is a new way of looking at your role. So, what topics will we cover?
Assuming you know the basics of Scrum, we dive straight into specifics, like Agile Governance, Contracting and Budgeting. We also address scaling. How to scale the Product Owner role without sacrificing Scrum values. We will explore a variety of Agile User Experience techniques, like Persona’s and Customer Journey Mapping, to make better decisions and create better products. You will learn to combine Business Model Innovation and Product Innovation and maximize value by using experiments, impact mapping and practical measures. Throughout the training, we will ask you to share your experience, to discover how you can best maximize your impact.

PSPO II Certification
The PSPO II exam (plus one retake) and Scrum.org certificate are included in the training. The exam is taken online at your moment of choice. Please note, only if you take the exam within two weeks of completing the training will you receive a free second chance. After passing the PSPO II exam you will:
- receive a Scrum.org Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO-II) certificate
- become a lifelong member of the Scrum.org community
- be included in the global Professional Scrum Product Owner database
