All participants completing the Professional Scrum Master course receive a password to take the PSM I assessment and are entitled to a discount on the PSM II assessment.
These industry-recognized certifications require a minimum passing score on the associated rigorous assessment. Scrum.org maintains a public list with everyone holding a PSM I and PSM II credentials.
Trainer
Trainer is Gunther Verheyen, a longtime Scrum practitioner. After a career as a consultant, he became partner to Ken Schwaber (co-creator of Scrum) and Director of the Professional series at Scrum.org (2013-2016). In that position, Gunther updated and redesigned the PSM course with Ken.
Gunther nowadays engages with people and organizations as an independent Scrum Caretaker.
In 2013 Gunther published his book “Scrum – A Pocket Guide,” a ‘smart travel companion’ to Scrum. His book is highly appraised for its focus on understanding the why of the rules and roles of Scrum, thereby deepening and expanding the official Scrum Guide. The book was published in a Dutch translation in 2016 as “Scrum Wegwijzer” and in a German translation in 2017 as "Scrum Taschenbuch".
