Professional Scrum Master (PSM) training
The Professional Scrum Master (PSM) training is a two-day training course, in which the theory and principles of Scrum are discussed. The application of Scrum in product development is increasing rapidly. The focus of the course is on the power of Scrum: pick up and apply. Linking theory and practice is therefore central.
After following the training you will have a clear picture of Scrum and you will be able to start using Scrum in your team. After successfully completing the online exam, you will receive the Scrum.org recognized Professional Scrum Master certification, PSM1.

Is the Training Right for Me?
You will get the most out of the course if you are in one of the following roles: a project manager, team leader, IT/development manager, product manager, test manager, business analyst, architect, developer or tester. You may already have some experience with Scrum, but you are not yet certified. You want to understand Scrum better so that you can apply it better and help your company further - If so, then the Professional Scrum Master training is certainly of added value.
Learning Objectives of the Course
The focus of the training is on the theory behind Scrum and the basic principles within the methodology. The training consists of a mix of theory and practical assignments.
After completing the training you will have:
- a clear picture of why Scrum works;
- an in-depth understanding of servant leadership, enabling you to act as a Scrum Master for your team and stakeholders;
- ability to start with Scrum in your team, or to increase the effectiveness of working with Scrum;
- the ability to facilitate and set up Scrum Events in the right way;
- the ability to define the accountabilities within Scrum and determine how these can be fulfilled within your Scrum team.

Preparation
A good basis for any Agile training is to read the Scrum Guide. A free online assessment is available. In addition, make sure that you participate in the training with an open mind and a passion for change. After the training, you will receive references to source material for further deepening and broadening.
Assessment Certification
All participants completing the Professional Scrum Master course receive a password to take the Professional Scrum Master I (PSMI) assessment. The industry-recognized PSM I certification requires a minimum passing score of 85%. PSMclass participants who attempt the PSM I assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a second attempt at no additional cost.
You are also entitled to a discount on the PSMII assessment once passing PSMI.
About Steve

Steve is an experienced Scrum Master and Professional Scrum Trainer with 20 years plus of experience in delivering complex products in many different business sectors. He started his career as a software developer, working for Nestle before moving on to work for Sky building applications & websites for many of the English Premier League football teams.
Previously being a developer, Steve has worked in various teams (Scrum and none Scrum) so comes packed with real-life stories. From Start-Ups building the next social media network, up to large corporations handling thousands of transactions a second. If you want to learn from someone who has been there, then Steve would be able to share experiences to help you on your way.
In May 2004 and after spending 6 months working on a very demanding & soul destroying project Steve decided to look for a better way to deliver products. It was either that or leave the industry. This led him to look into Agile approaches and in particular Scrum - his aim was to know to empower teams and individuals to make the right choices at the appropriate time.
Over 16 years later on from 2004, Steve's focus is still on helping individuals & teams to reach their full potential through professional development coaching and professional training.
About Andy

Andy is a highly experienced Professional Scrum Trainer with Scrum.org and a Professional Kanban Trainer with ProKanban. He wrote the book "Applying Scrum with Kanban"... so he knows a few things or two
Andy's career has taken him on a journey from late 90’s web development through professional organisations such as Nokia and IBM to now, where Andy is a professional trainer, coach and consultant. Along the way Andy learned XP, Scrum and Kanban ‘hands-on’, through leading teams of people developing complicated solutions in complex product and service delivery environments.
Andy now works with teams of people at every level to help them work smarter towards achieving their goals. Whether that's through professional personal and group coaching; or coaching Kanban with Professional Scrum, it's always based upon client and customer outcomes in mind.
Andy also has a family with two little boys and a dog called Rocky in Bristol, as you can well imagine, that keeps him pretty busy one way or another.
