Scrum.org have worked with Daniel Vacanti in the creation of this course. In 2007 Daniel helped to develop the Kanban Method for knowledge work. He managed the world’s first project implementation of Kanban that year.
Professional Scrum with Kanban (PSK) is a 2-day course that teaches Scrum practitioners how to apply Kanban practices to their work. Through theory, case studies, and hands-on exercises, participants will understand the importance of transparency and flow as it pertains to the Scrum framework.

- Myths and truth about Scrum and Kanban
- Understanding Professional Scrum
- Kanban Theory, Principles and Practices
- Kanban in Practice, Simulations and Exercises
- Metrics and quantitative process control
- Using Kanban in the context of Scrum framework

Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites but having a good knowledge of Scrum or attending PSM I training is recommended.
Course Learning Objectives
- Understand flow and Kanban practices from the perspective of the Scrum Team
- Explain how Kanban practices can be used to improve flow within a Sprint
- Increase transparency by helping the Scrum Team visualize their Workflow
- Use data to create a Scrum Team’s Service Level Expectation (SLE) for use in improving delivery predictability
- Apply the concept of flow and Kanban practices during Scrum Events
- Assist the team in overcoming common flow challenges by actively managing WIP
