Course Overview

The one-day course of Professional Agile Leadership™ – Evidence-Based Management (PAL-EBM) provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of EBM and practical ways to implement it. The course is designed to be interactive and activity-based, allowing participants to learn through hands-on experiences. Some of the key learnings in the course include:

1. Utilising empiricism to establish and achieve strategic objectives, effectively managing uncertainty and complexity through experimentation and continuous adaptation of goals.
2. Creating a cultural environment that fosters self-management and autonomy by setting clear goals, employing appropriate metrics, and cultivating trust.
3. Shifting the focus from solely measuring team performance metrics to a customer-centric approach, emphasising the improvement of customer outcomes.
4. Driving operational enhancements by employing four Key Value Areas (Unrealised Value, Current Value, Time to Market, and the Ability to Innovate) as lenses for making evidence-based decisions.

Course Learning Objectives

• Understand the essential aspects of goals and measures and how they influence behaviours and an organisation’s culture and values
• Help organisations embrace empiricism as a leadership approach. Using experimentation to incrementally steer towards the organisation’s goals
• An appreciation for how goals and trust act together to enable autonomy, transparency, and value delivery
• Correlate market leadership and sustainability to curiosity, adaptation, and empiricism
• Understand how to use EBM and its KVAs to focus measurements on improving market value and operational capabilities

Professional Scrum Certification

All participants completing the PAL-EBM course will receive a password to attempt the PAL-EBM assessment. Class participants who attempt the PAL-EBM assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost. You are also entitled to a 40% discount on the PSM II assessment. These industry-recognized PSM certifications require a minimum passing score.
