About Vivien

Experienced Agile Coach specialized in Scrum and agility at scale with a high sensitivity to agile engineering practices and software craftsmanship. I have recently worked for multiple worldwide companies in large programs. In this role I facilitate and act as a servant leader for multiple teams in building products in line with business needs.

Before coaching teams I was a member of development teams as a .NET developer specialized in WPF and ALM. I still consider myself a software developer and a member of the teams I serve. Years ago I was lucky enough to be introduced to clean coding and discovered a world of principles, practices that gave me the taste of high quality developments. Then I worked in Scrum Teams and finally started to take the Scrum Master hat.

I am passionate about agility and I give a lot of value to Customer Collaboration and interactions between Individuals in order to deliver products that satisfy all people involved. My favourite readings among others are The Software Craftsman,User Story Mapping and the Lean Startup.

La transformation digitale une révolution culturelle plus que technologique

La transformation digitale, suite à la transformation numérique démarrée il y a plus de 20 ans, a bouleversé notre quotidien. Cette révolution a bien évidemment changé de dimension avec l'avènement de nouvelles plateformes digitales, le cloud, le big data, l'omnicanalité, l'évolution de l'expérience utilisateur, etc. L'accélération et l'évolution des modes de consommation presque exponentielles dans leur adoption, en particulier en période de Covid, a complètement transformé l'horizon. Et comme Satya Nadella l'envisageait déjà en 2015, toutes les entreprises sont maintenant concernées par ces problématiques. La transformation est certes technologique, mais n'oublions pas que ce sont des humains qui sont à l'œuvre et que ces changements influent énormément sur les manières de travailler.

The paradox of Sprinting at a Sustainable Pace

Building a product sometimes feels like an endless race, head down, pedal to the metal, let's build it! We all run after something and as a team incrementing our product to be the best possible set of functionalities our users ever wanted, at some point we get out of breath Sprinting. As Scrum Master and Coach I often have to remind people that our goal is not to run but build a pace we can be confortable with for a long period of time, a sustainable pace.

Speed Boats: Beware of Speeding!

Imagine a project with hundreds of people, a lead time in months, few releases a year. You could compare these as large cruise boats or tankers navigating for few weeks in the immensity and emptiness of the oceans and seas and then stopping to ports very far away from each other.
