Chuck was a great communicator
Chuck was a great communicator, he utilized mixed media formats to help engage with the attendees. He had great demonstrations of how to maximize the SCRUM model and how to avoid common traps in applying the methods. I highly recommend his 'Virtual, In-person' courses, they exceeded my expectations and provided many links to resources that reference back to.

He not only knew his stuff backwards and forwards. He also combined his scrum knowledge with a multitude of examples of implementing scrum throughout his professional career across several different types of organizations. This class was an eye-opener for myself and my team.

Valuable course!
The course did a great job refining what I knew and educating on what I did not know (or incorrectly thought I knew) in an easily understandable way. The focus of the course was broad while also being specific enough to come away feeling like my knowledge and understanding has improved substantially. Engaging Class
Chuck made the content engaging & memorable. It is very hands-on and collaborative but this makes the time go pretty quickly. He really seeks to ensure you understand the material. The days are long but he provides you with many breaks throughout the day to help with focus. Overall, he was engaging and the content is very useful!

Coming into this training with very…
Coming into this training with very little understanding of a Product Owner (and other elements of Agile -> Scrum), Chuck was amazing at knowledge transfer. The course enlightened me to what the real picture looks like instead of the cherry picked version that I had been taught previously.
I would recommend this to anyone wanting to gain a better understanding of the Product Owner and their role.

The instructor was excellent - presenting the material in a way that is easy to understand and held my interest - with fun examples and group activities. The short, frequent breaks ensured that the class wasn't fatigued, which allowed for better success in learning the material. He also made sure that each person was fully participating in the class, asking specific people for their opinion and then providing relevant feedback based on past experiences and knowledge.

Chuck so easily navigated us through the journey of Scrum. Each lesson added on the previous until we had a cohesive understanding of how each role and process interrelate. Very enjoyable
I enjoyed this class. I have taken similar Agile classes in the past and this was the most enjoyable virtual class I've attended. The class was small which made it easier to navigate the information and pay attention. Large classes with multiple break out rooms can make it easy for participants to get distracted. Chuck was engaging and he was able to adapt when the class finished material ahead of schedule. I enjoyed the Mural boards vs PowerPoint.

Great course!!
As a very 'green' product owner, I found the course material really approachable. Dr. Chuck Suscheck (our instructor) did a fantastic job keeping the material digestible and applicable, despite most participants spanning across different seniority levels and different industries. I was also pleasantly surprised at the amount of team/group collaboration required -- it felt more like a group project/seminar, as opposed to a lecture. My favorite part of the course was when Chuck assigned an important component of the scrum process to each member of the group. We then had ~15 minutes to research the step and then we reconvened and taught our section to the entire class. All in all, I highly recommend this course. I can't wait to apply what I've learned into my day-to-day.

Super informative and collaborative!
Super informative and collaborative. Really great environment for learning and asking questions. Nice group of classmates all with different experiences to share and help each other out. Chuck was a great facilitator and teacher. He was able to keep a great pace that ensured everyone could follow along, answered questions along the way, and also encouraged group dialog and open discussions on lots of different topics.

Scrum Product Owner Class
I loved this class! I learned a lot from it, and thought it informative, engaging, well organized and interactive. The instructor made sure everyone had a space to participate, gave us breaks to keep us from becoming disengaged, provided clarifications and further explanations when they were needed or we were confused. My Course Review - for PSK 1 - Great course, and Instructor
I loved the pace ,the concepts were reinforced by thought provoking questions. The only aspect I had issue with was that at times the connection gave problems to keeping up with the classroom.
Also it would be nice to have had more "EXAM" like content in the way of exercises for the group to do more actual close to if not actual exam questions.
I also would love to have seen more excercises in using the differenct Metric diagrams -- to solidify practicing how to use them analytically in the field.

Chuck Suscheck was an excellent instructor for the Professional Scrum Master I class. The class was extremely informative while being totally engaging the entire time (at no point did I feel my interest waning). The information was broad enough to be relevant to all industries of the class participants, while Chuck also took the time to answer specific questions or work through unique situations in our individual workplaces. I feel much more prepared to enact Scrum at work, and I hope to take more classes in the future.

About Chuck
Background:
Hi, I'm Dr. Chuck. I am a former steward of the Professional Scrum Product Owner course and can teach nearly all of the Scrum.org course catalog. I've been a Professional Scrum Trainer for over 11 years and actively teach multiple private and public classes every month. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio.
I have over 30 years of experience in education and software. I have taught nearly 5,000 students in Professional Scrum classes and hundreds of students in noncertified classes ranging from highly technical programming classes to executive classes on process engineering. I have a solid reputation for satisfying students by breaking down complicated concepts into relatable analogies. I've been referred to as an agile expert by my students and peers alike.
Not only do I teach but I consult with a variety of large organizations. I focus on helping organizations realize the benefits of agile principles and practices through better business and IT alignment.
I'm a computer scientist with a doctorate degree from Colorado Technical University, a master's degree from Cleveland State University, and a bachelor's degree from Edinboro University. Additionally I hold over 20 industry related certifications. I previously worked as a full-time professor at Colorado State University and frequently work as an adjunct professor at various universities. I frequently publish academically and speak at numerous conferences.

Teaching philosophy:
I don't post masses of classes and then cancel ones with low enrollment. If you sign up for my classes, you won't be moved and I won't cancel the class.
My classes focus on transforming the way you think about work over learning the mechanics of Scrum. If you don’t understand the basis for Scrum and you just follow the mechanics, you’ll be disappointed when you go to apply Scrum.
I don’t guarantee everyone will pass the Scrum.org assessment, and with good reason. The test is difficult and should be seen as a significant achievement. I don't run a certification mill and as such, I teach a deep understanding of the reasons behind Scrum rather than how to pass a test.
I don’t play games in classes: no Legos, marshmallows towers, paper airplanes, or pickles. I like to have fun in my class, but we are all professionals so I use difficult, professional exercises that reflect real-world situations. I believe my students are intelligent peers who bring their own worthy, creative ideas to the class and I respect their thoughts.

Chuck made the content engaging & memorable. It is very hands-on and collaborative but this makes the time go pretty quickly. He really seeks to ensure you understand the material. The days are long but he provides you with many breaks throughout the day to help with focus. Overall, he was engaging and the content is very useful!

Coming into this training with very…
Coming into this training with very little understanding of a Product Owner (and other elements of Agile -> Scrum), Chuck was amazing at knowledge transfer. The course enlightened me to what the real picture looks like instead of the cherry picked version that I had been taught previously.
I would recommend this to anyone wanting to gain a better understanding of the Product Owner and their role.

The short, frequent breaks ensured that the class wasn't fatigued, which allowed for better success in learning the material. Very enjoyable
I enjoyed this class. I have taken similar Agile classes in the past and this was the most enjoyable virtual class I've attended. The class was small which made it easier to navigate the information and pay attention. Large classes with multiple break out rooms can make it easy for participants to get distracted. Chuck was engaging and he was able to adapt when the class finished material ahead of schedule. I enjoyed the Mural boards vs PowerPoint.

Great course!!
As a very 'green' product owner, I found the course material really approachable. Dr. Chuck Suscheck (our instructor) did a fantastic job keeping the material digestible and applicable, despite most participants spanning across different seniority levels and different industries. I was also pleasantly surprised at the amount of team/group collaboration required -- it felt more like a group project/seminar, as opposed to a lecture. My favorite part of the course was when Chuck assigned an important component of the scrum process to each member of the group. We then had ~15 minutes to research the step and then we reconvened and taught our section to the entire class. All in all, I highly recommend this course. I can't wait to apply what I've learned into my day-to-day.

Super informative and collaborative. Really great environment for learning and asking questions. Nice group of classmates all with different experiences to share and help each other out. Chuck was a great facilitator and teacher. He was able to keep a great pace that ensured everyone could follow along, answered questions along the way, and also encouraged group dialog and open discussions on lots of different topics.

My Course Review - for PSK 1 - Great course, and Instructor
I loved the pace ,the concepts were reinforced by thought provoking questions. The only aspect I had issue with was that at times the connection gave problems to keeping up with the classroom.
Also it would be nice to have had more "EXAM" like content in the way of exercises for the group to do more actual close to if not actual exam questions.
I also would love to have seen more excercises in using the differenct Metric diagrams -- to solidify practicing how to use them analytically in the field.

The class was extremely informative while being totally engaging the entire time (at no point did I feel my interest waning).
