Dear All, is there anything relating to the above in Scrum? I was going through a job advertisement and I was surprised to see this role "Agile Value Management Office (VMO) Analyst" wondering if anyone has any idea about this sort of role or similar in Scrum as it is about helping to foster operational excellence and lean governance across IT Agile Release Trains (ARTs).

In Scrum, a Product Owner is accountable for value, and once work is integrated and Done by the Developers the imperative is to put it to empirical use. If there's a release train in Scrum, that's it.

The role you are describing isn't part of Scrum but something else, and which may eschew the deep change needed for agile practice to be implemented effectively.

This is cooked up in SAFe version 6 and is a new term for something old and outdated in modern Agile organizations. My limited understanding is that the VMO replaces the traditional Project Management Office (PMO) with a product focus rather than a project focus.
